The top of the iolo AntiVirus Home page provides a snapshot view of the status of your antivirus protection.

You can see whether real-time and email protection are enabled and whether your virus definitions are current. The links allow you to quickly access and change settings.

Real-time protection

The default and recommended status is Enabled.

You can click Settings to change various real-time protection settings or disable the feature. See Real-Time Tab for detailed instruction.
If real-time protection is disabled, click Enable to turn it on. The protection will automatically enable without opening the Settings window.

Email protection

The default and recommended status is Enabled.

You can click Settings to change various email protection settings or disable the feature. See Email Tab for detailed instruction.
If email protection is disabled, click Enable to turn it on. The protection will automatically enable without opening the Settings window.

Virus definitions

Shows the status of your virus definitions. The message will either read Up to date, Expired, or Updating.

If the message displays Up to date, virus definitions are current. You can click Settings to view or change how you connect to iolo for downloads. See Updates tab for detailed instruction.
If the message displays Expired, updated virus definitions are available. Click Renew Now to download the latest virus definitions. See Keep Protection Current for more information.
If the message displays Updating, virus definitions are in the process of being downloaded and no other links display. When the update is complete, the message will read Up to date.
